According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's monthly "Flash Report," the sale of all tractors in the U.S. were up 2% in August compared to the same month in 2018.
For the year, a total of 170,531 tractors have been sold which compares to 164,732 sold in 2018 representing a 4% increase for the year.
For the month of August, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were even compared to last year while 40 & under 100 HP were down 1%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were up 14% while 4-wheel drive tractors were up 19%.
For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are up 5% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP are down 1%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are up 2% while 4-wheel drive tractors are up 13%.
Combine sales were down 12% for the month. Sales of combines for the year totaled 3,035, even with 2018.
