Lee Newspapers acquires Empire Farm Days

The Empire State Potato Growers are pleased to announce that they have entered into agreement with Lee Newspapers Inc, publishers of Country Folks weekly farm newspaper, to purchase Empire Farm Days.

Starting January 1, 2020 Lee will be responsible for producing Empire Farm Days. The show will still be held on the 321 acre location at the Rodman Lott & Son Farms in Seneca Falls, NY on July 29-31, 2020.

Empire Farm Days features hundreds of agricultural exhibitors, live demonstrations and seminars. There is something for all types of farmers whether they are a small or large operation.

Empire has been a fixture in the New York agricultural market for over 90 years ..Empire Farm Days began as a Potato Field Day in 1930 in Honeoye, N.Y., and subsequently was hosted by farms across New York State.

It became a two-day show in 1961 and renamed Empire Farm Days in 1967. The event settled at Rodman Lott and Son Farms in Seneca Falls in 1988.

With Lee's expertise and connections in all types of agriculture as well as construction, there are plans already underway to increase the number and types of exhibitors.

Lee already owns and produces three highly successful trade shows:

*The Keystone Farm Show in York, PA,
*The Virginia Farm Show in Fishersville, VA and
*The Hard Hat Expo in Syracuse NY.

Lee also manages the Empire State Producers Expo and has managed the ANGUS trade show in various locations.
