February 14, 2025 - Farm tractor sales were down during the month of January. That’s according to a new report from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, which indicates that the sale of all tractors in the U.S. during January 2025 was down 16% from the same month last year.
In January, a total of 9,143 tractors were sold which compares to 10,860 sold in 2024.

Another report concerning farm tractors was also published recently. That report comes from global consulting firm IMARC Group and indicates that more and more farm equipment is being built overseas. Looking at John Deere, 17% of their row crop tractors are now built outside the United States. For Case IH, 24% of their tractors are built overseas. And with New Holland tractors, 30% are assembled outside the United States.
