U.S. tractor sales down 16% in April

According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's monthly "Flash Report," the sale of all tractors during April 2023, in the U.S. were down 16% from the same month last year.
In April, a total of 26,160 tractors were sold which compares to 31,270 sold in 2022.
For the month, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down 20% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were down 14%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were up 5%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were up 54%.
For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are down 20% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP are down 12%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are up 5%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are up 52%.
Combine sales in April totaled 564 up 23% from last year. Year to date sales of combines in 2023 total 2,078, an increase of 72% from the same period in 2022.
